Advert description
I have always had a strong interest in English and enjoy helping other people improve their confidence and communication skills. I achieved a Grade B in GCSE English Literature and Language and have continued to develop my skills through my current studies in Psychology, Sociology and Counselling.
English is something that has always come naturally to me. When I moved to the UK at the age of 6, I picked up English very quickly and became fluent within around 7 months. Because of this experience, I understand how important it is to have someone who is patient, supportive and able to explain things in a simple way when learning a language.
For the past 5 years, I have also helped my mother improve her English and become fluent. This has given me real experience in helping someone who was not fully confident with English to develop their speaking, understanding and communication skills. I really enjoy seeing someone’s confidence grow as they become more comfortable speaking English.
My current studies in Psychology, Sociology and Counselling have also helped me understand different ways people learn and communicate. I believe everyone learns differently, so I would always try to make my lessons friendly, comfortable and suited to the individual student.
I am enthusiastic about helping others, and I would love the opportunity to support students with their English, whether they want to improve their speaking, vocabulary, reading, writing or simply become more confident using the language.
