Advert description
I'm a dedicated Biomedical student at St George's University London with a great passion for English and Art analysis. My academic performance reflects my love for this subject, having obtained a grade 9 (A**) in both English literature and English language, an A at AS levels, A* throughout A-levels with a grade A in my final exams.
For me, English is the art of perception and the most beautiful form of expression! I aim to instil this perspective in my students to further their confidence, allowing them to maximise their potential and marks! As a 2-year academic tutor with trained experience working with students who have special needs, I can tailor my teaching style to ensure students are progressing academically and understanding the content in a way suited to them. Typically, my teaching style involves exams practice, character analysis, novel walkthroughs and more!
I provide a welcoming environment in which students can freely share questions, allowing me to highlight their weak points and turn them into their strengths! I believe in teaching students how to perceive their extracts/novels through a unique lens. Rather than forcing students to regurgitate a structured response, I show students how to tackle extracts by knowing how to generate in-depth ideas that obtain the highest marks. This skill is not taught but is often a factor inhibiting students from achieving top grades! Thus, I aim for each student to achieve their full potential and make themselves proud!
