Advert description
I am in my final year of Medical School training at King's College London, having completed my GCSE's (8A*s, 3As) and A Levels (A*AA) from Nonsuch High School for Girls, and also obtained a intercalated BSc in Cardiovascular Sciences from UCL (First Class Honours). For three years, I have worked at a tutoring centre and gained a wealth of personable skills, custom to teaching students. In my free time, I partake in university extracurricular activities, including playing for the hockey team and leading two university societies as president.
Tutoring Experience
I have three years of formal tutoring under my belt, which includes teaching GCSE and A level students to help them reach their target grades or boost their predicted grades to match and surpass their goal.
For the past two years, I have been a mentor for groups of younger medical students and have delivered teaching sessions on the medical curriculum, with content far more advanced than A Level standards.
Alongside this, I have worked at TestTeach (a tutoring centre for the eleven plus entrance exam for grammar schools) for three years, which has given me plenty of experience and knowledge in this field and allowed me to comprehensively tutor this subject.
With my experience, I am able to make a judgement on the level of working of each student and tailor my resources and teaching style around them. Through my experiences, I have gained insight into working with children which has developed my communication skills with a wide range of ages and abilities which proves to make sessions more effective.
