I'm a professional Opera Singer (bass-baritone) and singing teacher currently based in Stroud, Gloucestershire. From-I was engaged by Hannover State Opera as a principal soloist, singing roles including Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro), Bottom (A Midsummer Night's Dream), and Escamillo (Carmen), among many others. Prior to that, I was a member of the International Opera Studio at Opernhaus Zurich, and the Salzburg YAP. I trained at the Royal Academy of Music, completing my bachelors and masters degrees and a diploma in opera over the course of 8 years. In 2022, I was conferred Associate Honours.
I have a choral background, having worked as a Lay Clerk at Gloucester and Portsmouth Cathedrals, and I am regularly engaged as a concert soloist.
I teach all ages and levels from beginner to advanced. My focus is helping you to build a healthy, reliable, and secure vocal technique, as well as developing your performance skills and musicianship. My extensive experience and training has given me a mass of knowledge and practical techniques to help with all aspects of singing, from understanding specific musical form, meaning and style, to making breathing more efficient and reducing tension. It's also important to me that you feel confident and I aim to support you in finding your own unique way to express yourself creatively.
