Advert description
I am accredited with a qualification in teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) and teaching speakers of other languages (TESOL).
I also have a bachelors degree with honours in Film Production, which was an intensive 3-year course. I developed the skill of creating dozens of written works including scripts, shot lists, and essays. I also developed strong technical skills and created short films and documentaries.
I have both paid work and voluntary experience with children and educational institutions. I have coordinated, filmed and edited christmas plays, filmed and edited promotional videos and acted as a volunteer support on school trips.
I also have a passion for history and I have both a GCSE qualification and an A-Level qualification in history.
I am a friendly, patient and dedicated tutor, who wants my students to be successful. My teaching style is dynamic, stimulating, fun, engaging and enables pupils to progress and to achieve their potential. This is achieved through consistent, systematic teaching and assessment. I will provide challenge for those pupils who need it, whilst also addressing the gaps in learning for others. I believe that praising and nurturing pupils gives them the confidence to succeed and to be life long learners.
Through my creative roles within the film industry I have developed excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. I have an awareness of audience and how to tailor content accordingly. I have developed excellent visual, audio and IT skills, with a good awareness of digital platforms and how they operate.
