Begginer's Italian lessons - learn the basics of the Italian language and conversational skills that will actually help in Italy!

I am a 4th year French and Italian student at the University of Bristol. I have just returned from my year abroad in Paris and Florence. In Florence I worked in an opera house and had language lessons every morning! I also managed to meet a good social group of Italians so I not only have a grasp of Italian for academics, but also what phrases you will need to have essential conversations in your Italian social life.

I am a big believer that, with just some knowledge of a local language, the culture becomes so much more accessible. Whether that's just in reading local road signs or chatting away with locals at bars - Italians especially always seem willing to chat if you approach them in their native language.
