Advert description
I'm Ajay! I have completed my A levels and I'm going to study medicine at Imperial. I have a genuine interest for teaching others and sharing my knowledge, and love getting to know new people. I'm friendly, patient and dedicated to helping my students unlock their potential.
I have experience teaching at an SEND tuition centre, dealing with children with a range of educational needs. I developed a strong rapport with a student there and received feedback that my input was very well tailored and helpful.
As someone who has just completed school, I am well aware of traditional teaching methods and believe I will be able to empathise with my students developing a stronger connection.
I'm passionate about the subjects I teach, and enjoy learning things above and beyond the curriculum. I have achieved gold in the UKMT maths challenges, including best in school and qualifying for further Olympiad and Kangaroo competitions. This has honed my time pressured logical thinking skills, allowing me to develop unique and efficient ways to tackle complex problems. I achieved 100% in GCSE Maths and 99% in GCSE Further maths, allowing me to develop my accuracy and consistency in exam situations.
I'm also very interested in chemistry, having achieved gold in the UK Chemistry Olympiad and Cambridge Chemistry Challenge. These tested my ability to assimilate new information and apply my knowledge to unfamiliar contexts, skills which are critical to applied exam questions. My team also placed 4th nationally in the Top of the Bench Chemistry team competition, which improved my communication skills in an academic context. I achieved 95% in GCSE chemistry and 93% at A level, which reflect my solid understanding of exam technique and familiarity with past paper questions.
