I have a First-Class BA History degree and an MA in Medieval History. I qualified as a teacher on placement at one of the best regarded grammar schools in the country. In 2022, I qualified as a tutor with the National Tutoring programme and have experience of delivering tuition in schools. I have four years experience of tutoring History and all my students have achieved at least two grades higher than expected.

I have a passion for sharing my subject knowledge in History and helping young make outstanding progress. I offer a student-centred approach, including clear feedback and next steps. My goal is to help you think and write like a historian and achieve success in GCSE and A level History (AQA and Edexcel). In my first year of teaching, my GCSE class achieved results significantly above the school's average. I have four years of experience tutoring History. All students who had multiple tuition sessions achieved at least two GCSE grades higher than expected.

Success in History is all about practice! Exam technique and historical skills such as analysing sources and evaluating change and continuity over time are acquired by developing the skill of thinking and writing like a historian. I help you do this from our first session together. I help to consolidate key historical dates, names and events through engaging quizzes and resources which you can use on your phone when you have a free 10 minutes. You may come with a clear idea of where you most need help. I will help you clarify what we need to focus on for success in GCSE and A level History. If you're not sure there is no need to worry.
