Advert description
I’d describe myself as a patient, enthusiastic, and creative tutor who specialises in making complex ideas simple. As a theoretical engineer working in biology during my PhD at Imperial College London, I spend a lot of time explaining advanced mathematical and control concepts to biologists — which has really strengthened my ability to communicate clearly across disciplines.
I like to use analogies and visual imagery to bring abstract mathematical concepts to life, helping students see why something works rather than just how to do it. My approach makes lessons engaging and memorable, especially for students who might find maths intimidating at first.
Previously, I have taught GCSE and A-Level students, building confidence and developing a deeper understanding of maths. I have also taught university students studying engineering at a master's level.
Having grown up with dyslexia, I’ve developed creative ways to break down ideas and adapt to different learning styles. My goal is to help students not only succeed in exams but also discover the satisfaction that comes from truly understanding a topic.
