Advert description
I am an experienced Mathematics teacher and currently serve as Head of Mathematics at St Bernard’s High School. Prior to this, I taught for eight years at Southend High School for Boys, one of the country’s leading grammar schools, where I developed extensive experience teaching students across a wide range of abilities and academic backgrounds.
Alongside my classroom teaching, I have been tutoring Mathematics for over 10 years, supporting students at Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level, including Further Mathematics. I have successfully helped students build confidence, strengthen their mathematical understanding and achieve their academic goals, whether they are aiming to secure a pass grade, improve their GCSE results, or gain entry to competitive university courses.
My approach to online tuition is highly interactive and closely mirrors the classroom experience. Using a visualiser tablet and screen-sharing technology, I can explain concepts clearly, model solutions step-by-step and work through exam questions in real time. This allows students to see the full problem-solving process, ask questions throughout the lesson and receive immediate feedback.
I believe that every student can make significant progress in Mathematics with the right support, and I tailor my teaching to each individual’s needs, learning style and aspirations. My lessons focus not only on mastering mathematical techniques but also on developing confidence, independence and effective exam skills.
