Expert in English and comparative literature (English, Italian, Spanish and French)

I am a UK-based ex-academic (PhD in English and Comparative Literary Studies, Warwick) with a decade's experience teaching English and other literatures to adults and older teenagers. I am fluent in English, Spanish, Italian and French, and competent in the respective literatures, as well as in aesthetics and 'theory' more generally. I have published a good deal of research, mostly in 19th-century literature, and I have taught poetry, drama, novels, stories etc. from antiquity to the present.

In my classes I like to be interactive, so that it becomes more of a back-and-forth conversation whose directions you can co-pilot.
