Experienced GCSE and Alevel Science teacher and examiner with a PhD from Manchester University

I am a qualified and experienced A-Level and GCSE science teacher and examiner, specialising in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. I hold a PhD in Science from the University of Manchester, as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees (Genetics) from the University of Sheffield. I also hold QTS following postgraduate training at Manchester.

I currently teach science in a UK mainstream school and have worked across both state and independent sectors. I also have experience teaching and supporting undergraduate students at the Universities of Sheffield and Manchester.

I teach all major exam boards including AQA, OCR-A, OCR-B, Edexcel, Edexcel iGCSE, Edexcel SNAP, WJEC, and IB.

As a tutor, my focus is on clarity, confidence, and results. Students often struggle not because they lack ability, but because they lack strong foundations and exam technique. My teaching ensures that:
