Advert description
I’m a fourth-year Modern and Medieval Languages student at the University of Oxford, with a passion for literature, languages, teaching, and helping students reach their full potential.
Over the past year, I have been living and working in Germany, where I taught both English Language and English Literature in a Bavarian secondary school. My teaching experience spans Key Stage 3 through to students studying at the equivalent of A Level, giving me valuable insight into how to adapt lessons to different ages, abilities, and learning styles. Alongside my classroom teaching, I have over three years of one-to-one tutoring experience, both in paid and voluntary roles.
I have successfully supported students in A Level English Literature, A Level Spanish, GCSE and A Level German, and Oxbridge admissions preparation, including personal statements and interview practice. My academic background includes A Levels in English Literature, German, and Spanish, as well as an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), allowing me to draw on first-hand experience of these qualifications and the skills needed to excel in them.
Academically, I have been recognised with awards for my work at Oxford and have presented my research at the University of Cambridge. I have also participated in an international workshop in collaboration with the Berlin University of the Arts (Universität der Künste Berlin), experiences that have strengthened my communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and appreciation for interdisciplinary learning.
My teaching style is supportive, engaging, and tailored to each student. Whether you are aiming to improve confidence, boost grades, prepare for university applications, or develop a deeper appreciation of your subject, I work closely with students to help them achieve their goals.
Outside of teaching and studying, I enjoy reading literature, attending and participating in drama productions, learning languages, and exploring innovative approaches to education and pedagogy.
I look forward to helping students build confidence, develop their skills, and achieve academic success.
