Advert description
Hi, I'm Rafe. I'm currently studying Physics at Imperial College London, and I'm committed to helping students reach their fullest potential.
I previously studied IB, achieving 44/45 overall (with 7s in HL Maths (AA), Physics and Chemistry), so I understand what it takes to navigate the pressures of high-stakes exams. Before that, I studied a mix of GCSE and IGCSE subjects - overall, I got eight 9s and two 8s in my GCSEs. Previously, I participated in an in-school mentoring program, in which I tutored GCSE level students in STEM subjects, helping them boost their final grades and overall performance. I was also involved in CCF (cadets) at school where I made the rank of Sergeant which taught me valuable leadership, communication and teaching skills, but my favorite moments are much quieter: it’s those "lightbulb moments" when a concept finally clicks for a student.
Depending on your personal situation, I can provide specific help adapted to you - whether that’s help in understanding and teaching you content, revision sessions, or helping you with exam preparation, exam technique and bridging the gap between ‘knowing content’ and ‘acing an exam’ - my teaching style adapts to each individual student and their needs.
I'm a big believer that every is student is unique and has potential - I tailor my lessons to enable students to fulfill that potential by adapting each lesson to the student's learning style, goals, and areas of focus.
