Advert description
Hi, I'm Ayushi, a Computer Science and Mathematics student at the University of St Andrews who genuinely loves problem solving and helping things click. Having been a tutor for over 2 years, I understand exam pressure, mark schemes, and the small mistakes that cost big marks.
I've worked with students at a range of levels, helping them move up grades and feel much more confident tackling exam questions. I achieved eight grade 9s and two grade 8s at GCSE, and completed my A Levels in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science.
Whether its quadratics, sneaky algebra, programming, or that one topic that's never made much sense (I've been there!), I want to break things down clearly so you feel confident and prepared going into exams. I make my lessons tailored to pupils needs and interests, because I often find that learning is a lot easier when it's something you actually enjoy. I will show several examples to make a process clear, before asking students to have a go themselves in a fun and supportive environment, so that they feel encouraged and understood.
I believe the most important thing to incorporate in a lesson is exam questions as they both allow you to build on your technique and identify areas to improve on. I offer lessons in KS3, GCSE and A Level Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Computer Science!
I have an Enhanced DBS Certificate, and offer a free introductory meeting so that we can get to know each other. Lessons are typically one hour and conducted online, but I can be flexible depending on your needs.
Outside of academics, I love music, food, long walks, and animals (especially cows) - which means our sessions are focused, balanced, and structured, while still remaining calm and approachable.
