Advert description
Hi, I’m Becca—an experienced online English tutor with over five years of supporting students from Year 6 to Year 11 to build confidence and achieve their full potential. I’ve helped pupils prepare for KS2 SATs, strengthen core skills at KS3, and guided GCSE students to exceed their predicted grades. Along the way, we’ve explored key texts such as Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, An Inspector Calls, The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, and A Christmas Carol.
I specialise in flexible, one-to-one online tuition that is fully tailored to each student’s individual needs. With no travel and no pressure, lessons are engaging, interactive, and focused on developing reading, writing, and analytical skills, alongside strong exam technique and self-confidence. From Shakespeare and modern prose to creative writing and the Power and Conflict poetry anthology, I cover everything students need to feel prepared and capable in English.
My teaching goes beyond traditional reading and writing tasks. I use quizzes, discussions, and varied activities to keep lessons enjoyable and effective. For GCSE students in particular, I also integrate practical strategies to manage exam stress and approach assessments with confidence.
I hold a BA (Hons) in English with Drama from De Montfort University and an MA in Publishing from the University of Central Lancashire. I’m passionate about making English accessible, engaging, and rewarding for every learner. Whether your child needs long-term support, a confidence boost, or targeted help alongside independent study, I’m here to support their success.
