Hi, I'm TJ — a native English-speaking tutor and the founder of TJ Teaches English. I help adults and professionals speak English clearly, confidently, and naturally, with lessons built entirely around your goals.

With 12+ years of teaching experience, a Level 5 (170-hour) TEFL certification, a Master's degree, and a Bachelor's in Cultural & Linguistic Anthropology, I bring both the credentials and the real-world experience to help you make fast, measurable progress. My TEFL qualification is accredited at the same internationally benchmarked level (RQF Level 5) as the Cambridge CELTA and Trinity CertTESOL.

Lessons with me are relaxed but focused. You'll do most of the talking, I'll give you clear feedback in the moment, and we'll target exactly what's holding you back — grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, or simply the confidence to speak. Mistakes are welcome here; they're how you improve.
