Hi, I'm TJ — a native English-speaking tutor and founder of TJ Teaches English, with 12+ years of teaching experience and a Level 5 (170-hour) TEFL certification.

My lessons are online, one-to-one, and built entirely around you. In our first session, I'll ask about your goals, your level, and why you need English — for work, an exam, travel, or everyday confidence. From there, I design a personalized plan so every lesson is relevant to your real life. If you work in shipping, you'll learn the English of shipping — not "I have a red apple."

Sessions are conversation-first. You do most of the talking while I listen, guide, and give clear, useful feedback in the moment — corrections you'll actually remember. We'll target exactly what's holding you back: speaking, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, or confidence. The atmosphere is relaxed and patient, because mistakes are how you improve.
