Modern Languages Tutor (French and Spanish)

I am a graduate of a BSc in French and Spanish, and have experience in teaching in British schools for a range of age groups from 11 to 18 years of age in both languages, as well as tutoring in English as a foreign language to both children and adults whilst abroad. I am comfortable to adapt lessons to focus on particular areas or to tailor them towards students' interests to make the subject more engaging. If a student would have particular interest in other subjects, I am happy to use cross curricular learning to incorporate other areas of study into the sessions.
I have firsthand experience using my language skills in the world of work as well, so I would be able to provide real world examples of applicable use for the subject, and offer a modern view on vocabulary and application of the languages in both formal and informal settings. Having spent time abroad living in both Spain and France, I can also offer some cultural insight and advice regarding customs and traditions of other nations (in the case of Spanish I also spent some time studying the history, geography and modern politics of Latin America). Whilst I am confident in leading the sessions, I place great importance in a student's interest and ownership of their learning, so I would keenly encourage collaboration to make the very most of our time and make it as enjoyable as possible!
