First-Class Philosophy Graduate & Experienced Teacher (14 years) — Expert A Level Tuition, Essay Writing & Thinking Skill

I’m a Philosophy specialist with 14 years’ teaching experience, currently at Windsor Forest Sixth Form College. My focus is helping A Level students master philosophical ideas, refine their essay technique, and develop the confidence to think clearly and independently.

I hold a First-Class BA and an MA in Philosophy, and my ongoing research explores Aristotle’s ethics, moral psychology, and the biological roots of value. I’m now developing this work toward PhD level, so my teaching is grounded in both deep academic knowledge and a genuine love of the subject.

My lessons combine intellectual rigour with an accessible, engaging style. I aim not only to help students achieve excellent results, but also to see how philosophy can illuminate their own lives and studies.

Philosophy becomes truly exciting once it feels clear and alive. Together, we can work through any part of the A Level syllabus - from epistemology and moral philosophy to the metaphysics of mind - or go beyond the exam to explore wider philosophical questions.

Each session is fully tailored to your goals: whether that’s essay structure and argumentation, exam preparation, or developing more original, university-level thinking. Sessions can be one hour or longer depending on your needs.

For me, philosophy is much more than a subject - it’s a disciplined way of questioning and understanding the world. My aim is to help students not only succeed in exams but also discover the pleasure of real thought.
