Advert description
I am a current Physics undergraduate at the University of Portsmouth, achieving a high First-class average, and I specialise in helping GCSE students improve both their understanding of Physics and their performance in exams.
Many students struggle not because they lack ability, but because they misinterpret questions, miss key wording, or give excellent answers to the wrong prompts. My teaching focuses strongly on exam precision — understanding mark schemes, identifying examiner cues, and learning how to structure answers clearly and efficiently.
I primarily support AQA GCSE Physics students, while remaining flexible across specifications. Lessons are fully tailored to the individual and may focus on theory breakdown, worked examples, structured problem-solving, or exam-style questions depending on what will have the greatest impact.
My approach is calm, supportive, and growth-focused. Physics can feel intimidating, so I prioritise creating an environment where students feel understood and confident asking questions. Concepts are broken down step-by-step to ensure genuine clarity rather than memorisation.
Each session includes:
• Clear explanations and guided practice
• Active problem-solving
• Exam-style thinking and technique
• A short follow-up summary highlighting key progress points
I work particularly well with capable students who are underperforming or lacking confidence. My goal is steady, measurable improvement — building independence, resilience, and stronger exam results over time.
I offer a free 15-minute introductory consultation to discuss goals and ensure we are the right fit before beginning.
