Boosting your child's maths confidence, performance, and enjoyment

My lessons are designed to build both academic confidence and genuine enjoyment of learning. With one year of tutoring experience, during university studies, supporting students in Primary School Maths as well as GCSE Maths and Science, I have worked with a range of abilities and learning styles, helping students strengthen their understanding and achieve their goals.

I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and exploring new ideas. Rather than focusing solely on memorising facts or procedures, I aim to create a positive learning environment where students develop curiosity, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the subject. I encourage students to see Maths and Science not as subjects to be feared, but as opportunities to solve problems, think critically, and discover how the world works.

Each lesson is tailored to the individual student's needs, pace, and goals. I identify areas of strength and areas for improvement, then use clear explanations, worked examples, and targeted practice to help students make steady progress. Alongside subject knowledge, I place a strong emphasis on learning how to learn. This includes developing effective study habits, problem-solving techniques, revision strategies, and independent thinking skills that students can apply across all areas of their education.

My goal is not only to improve grades but also to help students become more confident, resilient, and motivated learners. By building strong foundations and fostering a positive attitude towards learning, I aim to equip students with skills that will benefit them long after our lessons have finished. Whether a student needs support catching up, preparing for exams, or stretching their abilities, I strive to make every lesson engaging, supportive, and rewarding.
