I am interested in applying for a Spanish teacher position in your prestigious institution, especially to teach children from nine to twelve years old or adult students in extension courses. As a 2004 graduate from National Pedagogical University in Bogota, Colombia, and with a Master ´s degree in Applied Linguistics to teach Spanish as a second language from the Universidad Europea del Atlántico. Therefore, I have thirteen years´ experience as a teacher in universities, embassies, and private language academies. Therefore, I consider myself to have enough experience to work with you directly.

In addition, I am currently teaching nine- to twelve-year-old children from the Japanese Cultural Association in Bogota and with adult students from non-government organizations like the Red Cross and executives from the Coca--Cola Company in Bogota. For that reason, I consider that my experience would be useful to you and your program, and I can even help your teachers reinforce their level of Spanish.

Furthermore, I have a love for history and arts, and I have been a freelance journalist for almost eight years. Through this I have supported different processes including editing and writing of university newspapers. I consider this skill to be useful in supporting publishing processes and helping to encourage students to expand and strengthen their writing skills. This provides the goal of encouraging your students to improve themselves and their communicative skills to express their own thoughts and opinions about life.
