highly qualified English tutor with a business studies flare

Advert description
Hello there, I'm Gigi, a fellow human being who's happy to lend a hand. I come from South Africa and I'm 47 years young. I've spent 27 years immersed in the world of sales and marketing. As a proud mother of two boys who both face challenges with ADHD and Autism, I've learned so much about the importance of education, special needs, and making a meaningful impact.

My sales journey began in 2001 when I started as a telesales representative. Over time, I worked my way up to head of sales, and then a sales representative and sales manager. Throughout this time, I focused on the hospitality industry. I also pursued my passion for education by working towards my PGCE, specializing in Business studies. In just one week, I completed my practical - a feat that was meant to take 6 weeks.

I continued working in sales and marketing for the hospitality industry until the COVID-19 pandemic struck and I was laid off. It was then that I decided to follow my heart and pursue teaching. Since 2021, I've been doing tutoring on my own and have found great success. Helping others grow and prosper is incredibly important to me. I always try to live by the motto, "How can I help?", without expecting anything in return.

So, I hope this brief introduction has given you a good sense of who I am. If you ever need a listening ear or a helping hand, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm here for you!
I began my studies in 2012 and completed my practical at Wittebome High School in Cape Town, South Africa. My concentration was on teaching Business Studies to students in grades 8 through 12, focusing on different levels of understanding of the subject.

My tutoring journey began in 2021 with students ranging from grade 1 to grade 7. We covered all subjects in the current curriculum during these tutoring sessions, which were either 1-on-1 or in groups of up to 4 students.
