Advert description
Following a professional performance career, I have been teaching Singing & Music Theory for over 10 years. I started teaching in-person but was forced to take my work online, during the Covid pandemic.
I found that I could reach and help more students this way (not restricted to geographical area) in the UK and beyond. Plus, I could teach from anywhere, with good wi-fi!
It has allowed me to move away from busy London, to a calmer, quieter life in the country, closer to my family.
I love teaching and gain so much pride and joy from seeing my students develop as musicians.
Although I teach all levels, I particularly enjoy teaching Beginners: nurturing & encouraging their passion for music and making the lessons fun and informative.
I specialise in techniques & exercises which develop a relaxed, well-supported voice . . . tailoring the lessons to each individual and choosing repertoire that suits their unique voice and personality.
Some students come to me with a specific goal or performance to work towards, others just for the fun of Singing.
I also teach Music Theory for ABRSM grades 1 to 5 and sometimes help other musicians (not just singers) with Sight-singing & Aural tests in preparation for their grade exams, GCSEs & A levels-
I have a 100% pass rate, as I only enter students for exams when they are properly ready.
