Advert description
I have been working in health and fitness for over eight years, starting out as a Health Advisor conducting clinical health assessments and providing lifestyle and physical activity guidance, before moving into personal training where I could support people more consistently over the long term.
I hold a Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Gym Instructing and Personal Training, a Pre & Post Natal qualification, 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training and a First Class Honours degree in Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences from Brunel University.
In practice, I have worked with clients ranging from their twenties to their eighties, across all fitness levels and with a wide variety of goals - whether that's building strength, improving mobility, losing weight, managing a health condition or simply feeling better day to day. I work both in person (location dependent) and online.
When it comes to how I teach, I think the most important thing is that sessions feel personal rather than prescriptive. I take time at the start to really understand what someone wants to achieve, what their lifestyle looks like and what has or hasn't worked for them before.
From there I build a programme that fits around them - not a generic template. I explain the reasoning behind what I'm asking clients to do, because people tend to stay motivated when they understand the why, not just the what. And I check in regularly, adjust things when needed and make sure progress feels achievable rather than overwhelming.
