I have been teaching in Microsoft and AWS technologies in some form or another for over 20 years. Even with all that behind me, I remember fondly the discovery of new knowledge and how it feels so good when the pieces come together.

I like to meet students where they are and build on existing knowledge. I require my students to be in "help themselves" mode-- Rather than simply giving an answer, it's important to know *why* a particular way of doing things is correct, so that it becomes a building block that you can use in a repeatable way to make your coding life easier!
