I’m Dave, a professional but friendly guitar teacher with over 20 years’ experience. I’ve had the privilege of working with more than 1,000 students, ranging in age from 6 to 90, and I know from experience that it’s never too early – or too late – to start your musical journey.

My approach is all about combining structure with encouragement. Every student is different, so I tailor lessons to your goals — whether that’s playing your favourite songs, preparing for grades, improving technique, or simply enjoying music for personal fulfilment. I make sure every session is relaxed, enjoyable, and productive, so you can build real confidence while having fun.

I teach classical and acoustic guitar styles, as well as beginner piano and music theory. Many of my pupils are adult beginners or retirees, and I specialise in creating a welcoming, pressure-free environment for learners who may be picking up an instrument for the very first time. My students value the mix of patience, professionalism, and motivation I bring to every lesson.

I currently offer online lessons, so you can learn in the comfort of your own home with no travel required. Lessons are interactive, engaging, and flexible — making it easy to fit music into your weekly routine. For those available during the day, I even offer a 20% daytime discount on lessons booked Monday to Friday between 9:30am and 2:30pm.
