I have eight years experience in teaching business. I hold a degree in Business Administration with a specialism in Finance and Accounting from Lancashire Business School, University of Central Lancashire (Upper Second Class Honours, 2017), and a PGCE in Further Education (2018).
In my current role, I teach finance-related content as part of Business programmes, supporting learners to understand key accounting principles including financial documents, budgeting, costing, cash flow and financial decision-making. I plan and deliver structured lessons aligned to awsarding body requirements and provide clear, developmental feedback that enables learners to make sustained progress. I closely monitor attendance, achievement and progression, using learner data to inform teaching and targeted intervention.
Previously, at Moulton College, I delivered BTEC Business Level 3 Finance and Accounting units for exam which resulted 98% pass. I was recognised by the Director of Quality for the consistency and quality of my assessment feedback and for maintaining high standards aligned with awarding body and internal quality processes.
Alongside my teaching experience, my time working as a Junior Business Analyst at Cambridge University Press & Assessment strengthened my analytical skills and deepened my understanding of curriculum design, qualification frameworks and quality assurance. This experience enhances my ability to deliver industry-relevant, employer-focused learning, which is central to successful T-Level provision.

I value professional development and actively reflect on my practice to ensure my teaching remains current, engaging and effective. I am confident that my combination of recent finance teaching experience, vocational expertise and strong organisational skills would allow me to make a positive contribution to your Business department.
