Advert description
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English Language Studies and a Master of Arts in Didactics of Foreign Languages (TEFL), graduating first in my cohort in both programs. Ranking top among more than 150 students taught me effective study strategies, academic discipline, and how to achieve high performance. I joined a PhD program after winning a prestigious national competition among top-ranking students across Algerian universities, which awarded me a fully funded scholarship. I am currently a final-year PhD student in Psychology at the University of the West of Scotland, researching anxiety, perfectionism, and self-efficacy in academic contexts.
My academic training includes extensive experience in research proposal and dissertation writing, literature reviews, managing reading and writing, research design, data collection (surveys and in-depth interviews), data analysis (qualitative RTA, descriptive statistics, correlation, regression, MANOVA, moderation ), and reporting findings. I have also participated in academic training programmes at CCCU, UWS and UEA and summer schools at SGSSS and volunteered as a Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) leader, supporting postgraduate researchers in academic and research skills.
Drawing on this experience, I help students plan and manage their master’s projects effectively, set realistic goals, establish focus, and maintain momentum. I provide guidance on research design, methods, and analysis, and support students in developing effective study habits, building confidence, and achieving their full potential. While I can help learners from any discipline improve study techniques, my subject-specific support focuses on Education and Psychology. Moreover, as an international student in the UK, I understand the challenges of adjusting to new academic norms and can support others in adapting successfully.
