As a long-time academic and survivor of the Oxford tutorial system, I am passionate about helping students of all levels become more confident and concise writers in the humanities and social sciences. I hold a master's degree in geography (biodiversity and conservation) from the University of Oxford and an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in English and anthropology, which included an academic year studying abroad at Oxford. I began tutoring secondary school students in English, Shakespearean studies, and academic writing in 2018. The faculty recognized my tutoring skills and on multiple occasions invited me to create and present lectures to AP (university-level) English literature classes. Later, during my undergraduate degree, I gained experience in teaching social sciences as an education coordinator for a Middle Eastern advocacy student society, creating educational material for society meetings and outreach. In 2023, I worked for the educational website SuperSummary as a professional literature study guide writer. In addition to my tutoring experience, I scored a perfect 36 in Reading and near-perfect 35 in English on the ACT (the university entrance exams in the US). As a graduate who studied on both sides of the Atlantic, I can provide guidance in university admissions for both the US and the UK.
