I am Dr. Alexander Mushtukov, an astrophysicist at the University of Oxford and UCL with over a decade of experience in teaching, tutoring, and research supervision. My lessons focus on astronomy and astrophysics — from the foundations of stars, galaxies, and black holes to advanced topics such as radiation processes, compact objects, and gravitational waves.
I have designed and taught multiple university and online courses, including Astrophysics of Black Holes, White Dwarfs, and Neutron Stars, High Energy Astrophysics, and Evolution of Stars and Binaries. My teaching experience spans the University of Oxford, the University of Amsterdam, and Leiden University, with more than 300 hours of lectures and tutorials delivered in recent years.
For motivated students, I also guide research-oriented projects. Under my supervision, over 15 research projects and numerous theses have been successfully completed, and more than 20 high school students have carried out original work in astrophysics.
My lessons are interactive and adaptable. I encourage curiosity, explain complex physics clearly, and help students develop independent problem-solving skills.
