This is a comprehensive, year-long learning program tailored to your specific goals and growth. We will meet at least once or twice per month over the course of the year—or more frequently, based on your evolving needs and schedule.
The primary objective of these sessions is to help you build authentic confidence as a speaker by discovering your unique voice, refining your message, and experimenting with proven techniques to elevate your presence, clarity, and impact on any stage.
ABOUT ME
Although I used to be incredibly shy and nervous about public speaking and teaching, I now genuinely love it. I care deeply about my students—not just their academic performance and achievements, but also their well-being. Life can hit us hard sometimes, and developing skills also means building the resilience to face challenges and keep going.
I'm a passionate researcher, writer, and public speaker with over 20 years of experience. My passion lies in language acquisition, phonetics, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. I'm particularly interested in fostering positive cross-cultural relations through my writing, YouTube videos, and public speaking activities.
I've presented at conferences around the world, been invited as a guest speaker on several occasions, and interviewed for a number of podcasts.
Versatile in my approach, I can write and speak with equal ease to both highly specialized and general audiences. Notably, I designed a 3-hour workshop for teenage non-native English speakers in Japan, as well as an 80-minute workshop for 6th graders at an international school in Mauritius—both of which were a huge success, with the children and teenagers fully engaged throughout.
As an educator, I’ve worked as an Associate Professor at the “Harvard” of Japan for over 11 years, where I designed and taught a wide range of courses for students from freshman to graduate levels. Over the years, I’ve supervised several graduate students—offering not only academic guidance but also preparing them for their first presentations at international conferences.
