Advert description
Zoologist, professional SCUBA diver, and science educator.
With a PhD exploring why whales don’t get cancer, I currently split my time between camera traps and code: working with National Geographic and the BBC researching endangered species in Africa, else plugged into my laptop, solving biomedical problems, usually in Python and R, always with a cup of tea.
With over a decade of teaching experience, I’ve supported students from KS3 primary through to postgraduate level in biology, maths, and data science. I’ve taught in London secondary schools and at Oxford and Imperial, where I’ve also contributed to admissions, curriculum design, and teacher training.
I’ve helped 100+ students succeed in GCSE, A-Level, IB, and university admissions - especially Oxbridge - offering tailored support in subject mastery, personal statements, interviews, and independent research.
98% of A-Level students gained Russell Group or equivalent offers;
95% of Oxbridge applicants were invited to interview; ~50% receiving offers;
96% of GCSE/IB students achieved A or A* in biology; 90%+ in maths, chemistry, geography
There’s no one-size-fits-all method when it comes to teaching - so I don’t use one.
Instead, I build a unique learning plan for every student, based on their strengths, goals, learning style, and interests - with particular experience with neurodiversity. Whether it's structured guidance, creative reinforcement, or confidence-building support, my aim is always the same: to make complex ideas click, and to help students genuinely enjoy the process.
