issho-ni is a newly formed Japanese language tutoring service, aimed at providing a top-class learning experience with a much more casual, practical, and realistic approach. During my time in Japan, I quickly realised that constant, casual chatter amongst natives (and, of course, fellow learners) was having a tremendously positive impact on my conversational ability, and more importantly my confidence in using newly acquired language skills. With a strong focus on casual chatter, I try to create a language learning environment where making mistakes is encouraged, and learning materials are stripped back to truly realistic and useful content. Languages developed from speech, and I’m of the firm belief that it can still be the most effective form of learning.
