A former Teaching Fellow at King’s College London, I offer specialist tuition in Politics and Political Science at A Level and degree level, alongside degree-level International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies.
I hold degrees from the universities of London, Jerusalem and Cambridge, including an MPhil in International Relations from Cambridge and a PhD specialising in Israeli foreign policy.
I am the author of Israel and the Cold War: Diplomacy, Strategy and the Policy of the Periphery at the United Nations (I.B. Tauris, 2013), have reviewed for the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House), and have written for academic journals and newspapers.
My academic distinctions include the first Mikardo Scholarship awarded by the British Foreign Office, a Golda Meir Fellowship at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a Donner Prize in Atlantic Studies at Cambridge for an essay on the role of the United States in the Falklands War.
My students have gained places at institutions including Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, UCL, King’s College London, Birmingham, York, Leeds, Hull, Sheffield, Nottingham and Sussex. For parents’ peace of mind, I hold an enhanced DBS check and subscribe to the annual update service.
Tutoring Experience
As a Teaching Fellow at King’s College London, I taught MA courses on the Arab–Israeli Conflict, US and British Foreign Policy, War and Peace in the Middle East, and Inter-Faith Relations.
A professional private tutor and coach since 2015, I support students with Politics at A Level and with Politics, Political Science, International Relations and related subjects at university level.
I also provide dissertation and essay consultation, examination preparation and intensive tuition during school and university holidays.
Tutoring Approach
My sessions are interactive, academically rigorous and tailored to the individual student. I focus on developing secure subject knowledge alongside the analytical and evaluative skills required for high-level political analysis.
For A Level students, I use past papers and questions from relevant examination boards, including Edexcel and AQA, to develop examination technique, argument, evaluation and essay structure.
For university students, I provide support with political concepts and theories, critical analysis, essay and dissertation structure.
