Depending on your exam board we will focus on structure, which ends up accounting for 2/3 of your marks on each paper. From doing the subject for 2 years myself and tutoring others in this, it has allowed me to perfect the structure to ensure students get their best grades. Not only this, but I understand what examiner want to see, with my teachers being A level examiners for this subject, so having learnt this was a key skill and will definitely advantage my students. My engagement with the political world allows for my knowledge to be vast, which helps to provide key examples to help secure the top grades. I will be doing small quizzes, practise questions and going through how to really revise politics. Essay plans will be a key feature of my lessons, and I am fortunate enough to have resources that help with every possible essay question you could get. As a student, I understand the stress behind exams and the pressure of performing, so i aim for my lessons to be a relaxed space where it is fine to do badly, as we will be changing that. I myself struggled with dyslexia at school and I had extra time in exams, so i don’t want students fearing if they have slight set backs as I will gladly cater to all needs, and this has allowed me to explore varying revision techniques, as some people suit certain ways better. My aim is to help your confidence, a key aspect with essay subjects. I did English literature and History also at A level, so I understand the weight of essay subjects and how important structure is for them. I try to make my lesson engaging and not boring, with unique learning techniques that make topics memorable.
