My lessons are aimed at A Level Politics students of all ability, to help improve their grades from someone who received an A* and is now studying politics for a degree

I have experience tutoring different skill abilities and exam boards so learning will be unique for each student. By adapting to what works best for individuals, I aim to not only advance their learning but gain a personal relationship so it doesn’t feel so student-teacher but more casual, to allow for people to be truly honest at what they struggle with. My aim is to make studying less of a chore and more of an accomplishment. I have been tutoring people for nearly 3 years, and seeing most recent Politics student go from a D to an A* in 3 weeks. I had some of the top A level Politics Teachers in the country who not only graduated from Oxford but lectured politics there also, which I have indefinitely taken on and think advantages my teaching. I am fortunate enough to have access to resources which mean I have every possible A level Politics question, and exactly how to answer them for an A*, understanding the patterns from exam boards of what topics do and don’t come up periodically. My study of Politics at A level, gaining an A*, allows me to truly understand exam structure as well as content, whilst studying for a politics degree also advances my knowledge to ensure students will get the most they can out of me. I struggled with dyslexia at school and managed to still receive the top grade, so I am perfectly comfortable working with any learning disabilities and can adapt to whatever is needed for the student. I am very flexible for tutoring times and would assign small homework, making sure my students aren’t overloaded ontop of their current school work. I understand how immense the pressure of exams are, so not only am I aiming to help improve grades but also confidence and how to best manage workload.
