I am a retired chemistry teacher, and an experienced examiner for OCR A Level chemistry. I am able to give valuable advice on examination technique - particularly with the Organic Chemistry section.

The style and format I use in lessons is one of finding out the strengths of the pupil, and assisting with providing help for the areas of the syllabus that the pupil finds difficult through practising exam style questions. The pupil will demonstrate their knowledge by indicating how they would answer questions, and then discussing how they could improve. The key aim with answering examination style questions is to understand what is expected.
