Expert 11+ exam preparation for grammar and independent schools

Hi, I'm Chi, founder of Ascentia Tutoring, created with one goal: to help children succeed in the 11+.

Based in Orpington, I specialise in grammar and independent school entrance exam preparation, with a particular focus on St. Olave’s, Newstead Wood, Kent, Bexley, Medway and Sutton grammar schools. However, as the skills taught are relevant for all school entrance exams in the UK, and we offer online (as well as face-to-face) tuition - I can support families applying to other selective schools in the UK including QE, Henrietta Barnett, etc.

I know what it takes to succeed: I've guided my own two eldest children into St. Olave's Grammar School and supported students in gaining places at Newstead Wood and other Kent and Bexley grammar schools.

I help children master all aspects of the 11+, including maths, English, verbal reasoning, and non-verbal reasoning, building the skills, confidence, and exam techniques they need to perform at their best.

​My approach is results-driven and tailored to each child, developing problem-solving skills, logical thinking and exam resilience — not just for the 11+, but as a foundation for future academic success.
