I am a student at Durham University offering English and Literacy lessons to children at GCSE and 11+ level

I have extensive experience working with children of different ages, backgrounds and abilities. I taught English at a summer boarding course in London, supporting international students from all over the world and adapting my teaching to accommodate a wide range of abilities and learning needs. I have also tutored primary school pupils in preparation for their 11+ examinations, helping them develop their English skills and build confidence in their academic abilities. Through my work at multiple summer camps, I have supported children with homework, delivered theatre lessons, assisted with essay writing, marked written work and provided constructive feedback to help students improve their skills. In my spare time, I also coach lacrosse at my local club, which has further developed my ability to engage, encourage and support children in a positive learning environment. Academically, I achieved an A* in A-Level English Language and Grade 9s in both GCSE English Language and English Literature, demonstrating my strong subject knowledge and passion for helping young people reach their full potential.
