Advert description
My teaching method focuses on identifying students’ weaknesses, improving their understanding, and helping them achieve better academic results through structured lessons, regular tests, and revision.
First, I review students’ most recent exam papers, correct their mistakes, and explain the correct answers. While discussing the paper, I note down the topics they struggled with, such as transitive and intransitive verbs. After completing the paper discussion, I briefly explain these topics again so students understand their mistakes and learn the correct concepts.
Next, I follow the school syllabus, dividing lessons into smaller sections to make learning easier. I read each section aloud or ask students to read it, then explain the content clearly. I regularly check their understanding, encourage questions, clear up doubts, and ensure they complete the relevant activities.
I also prepare short notes covering the most important points of each lesson. These help students focus on key information and revise effectively before examinations.
For English, I provide weekly dictation words and vocabulary lists to study. I test them on these words during the following class to improve their spelling, vocabulary, and memory. I also include reading practice to develop their pronunciation, fluency, and confidence.
After completing each lesson, I conduct a test to assess students’ understanding. I regularly revise previous lessons and, after approximately 5–10 lessons, conduct a combined test covering earlier topics. This helps students retain information and prepare effectively for examinations.
I have already seen encouraging improvements through this approach. Students who initially scored around 20–30 marks have improved to scores such as 68, 75, 80, and even 90 marks.
My goal is not simply to complete the syllabus, but to ensure students understand what they learn, remember it, gain confidence, and achieve better academic results.
