Advert description
I am a passionate and dedicated biology professional with a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology. My academic background, research experience, and professional career in the biotechnology industry have provided me with extensive knowledge of biological sciences. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping students understand complex scientific concepts in a clear, engaging, and accessible way.
My expertise includes molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, cell biology, DNA replication, gene expression, and biotechnology. During my Ph.D. at the Florida Institute of Technology, I conducted research on bacterial DNA replication initiation, gaining an in-depth understanding of genetic mechanisms and cellular processes. My research involved genetic engineering, homologous recombination, site-directed mutagenesis, protein expression and purification, and protein-DNA interactions. This experience enables me to explain biological concepts in detail and help students understand the scientific principles behind them.
I have also gained valuable research experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Washington and Vanderbilt University. My work involved experimental design, quantitative PCR (qPCR), chromatin immunoprecipitation, next-generation sequencing-based approaches, and flow cytometry. These experiences strengthened my analytical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific reasoning skills. I can use practical examples from my research to help students connect theoretical knowledge with real-world applications in biology, medicine, and biotechnology.
In addition to my academic and research experience, I have mentored undergraduate and graduate students during my doctoral studies. I supported students in understanding research concepts, planning experiments, and participating in scientific discussions. This experience helped me develop patience, effective communication skills, and the ability to explain challenging topics to individuals with different levels of knowledge.
Currently, I work as a Technical Applications Scientist at Azenta Life Sciences, where I deliver technical presentations and training to customers from academic, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology backgrounds. My role involves explaining complex scientific concepts, answering technical questions, troubleshooti
