My name is George Jones, and I am a current student athlete at the University of Nottingham reading Environmental Biology BSc

My main objective as a tutor will be to understand each individual student’s learning style and their preferred approach to learning in order to provide a positive impact as a tutor.

I provide calm, knowledgeable and approachable sessions in a structured format. Finding the appropriate way to communicate complex concepts within a tailored schedule. Having recently completed my A level examinations I can offer a modern and up to date approach to the exam boards requirements. Progressing through mock examination questions, unsuccessful answers and highlighted topics will be at the core of my sessions.

As an undergraduate student I acknowledge how monotonous and repetitive revision can be. This is why I believe learning with the use of visual aids and technology helps to inspire a more interactive and entertaining environment.

Working with a tutor in the time of my A levels ensured I had a greater confidence in my subjects. I found the complex concepts easier to accept when they were explained in such a way that was easier for me to understand. It is my intention to reflect these qualities and offer my students their best possible chance in reaching their full potential.
