My aim is to make GCSE Biology feel much easier to understand, more engaging and far less overwhelming. I know that Biology can involve a lot of information, so I focus on helping students genuinely understand the content rather than simply memorising it.

At the beginning of our lessons, I’ll identify your strengths, weaker areas and the topics or question types you find most challenging. We can then create lessons around what you actually need help with, rather than spending time on things you already understand.

I’ll explain difficult concepts in a clear and straightforward way, breaking them down into smaller sections and using diagrams, examples and simple explanations where helpful. We’ll also regularly practise exam-style questions so that you become confident not only with the Biology itself, but also with applying your knowledge in an exam.

A big part of my lessons will be learning how to recognise what a question is asking, use the correct scientific terminology and structure answers effectively. I’ll give you feedback and explain how you can improve, helping you gradually become more independent and confident.

Most importantly, I want my lessons to be a comfortable environment where you can ask questions without worrying about getting something wrong. There are no silly questions, and making mistakes is part of learning. Whether you’re struggling with a particular topic, preparing for exams, or aiming to push your grades higher, I’ll adapt my teaching to suit your individual needs.

I want every student to finish a lesson feeling that they understand something they previously found difficult. My goal is not just to help you improve your Biology grade, but to make you feel genuinely more confident when approaching the subject and your exams.
