English Tutor, I teach GCSE English to students of all ages at different stages in learning. Experienced in SEN

Advert description
With my person-centered teaching approach, all the focus in on the learner. I will track your academic progress whilst you progress yourself in our lessons. My personalized teaching style will enable you to become familiar with concepts easier, I will go at your learning pace and tailor my lessons to your individual needs. Learning is a very individual process, and therefore needs an individual approach. My tuition does not follow the standard 'one shoe fits all' approach which is commonly seen in schools, instead, my teaching method prioritizes on learning about the learner as an individual, fostering a strong relationship with my student and tailoring lesson plans in accordance to individual needs.

Through my degree in English Language, Literature and Creative Writing, I expansively developed my knowledge in English whilst developing my knowledge in psychology and history. Taking psychological and historic factors into account, I believe the best education can be provided through person-centered teaching. When I worked as a tutor in I had a student that despised the thought of writing a single sentence, yet one thing this student didn't despise was football. She was a passionate fan for Nottingham Forest. As an English tutor who didn't have a clue about football - I took it upon myself to research into the sport and learn about the team. My student found herself writing paragraph after paragraph when I made the assessment tailored to her passion! She ended up strengthening her skills whilst enjoying herself in the process.

That is just one example of how I teach! My teaching is fun, interactive and enriching. Regardless of how you feel towards English now, I promise, after the first three sessions with me, you will find your confidence and intellectual abilities expanding to great lengths.

I am delighted to share my experience with Rachel, who has been tutoring my son Josh in English for the past few months . Rachel's dedication, expertise, and kindness have made an incredible difference in Josh's academic journey and confidence. Rachel's approach to teaching is both professional and nurturing. From the outset, she took the time to assess Josh's strengths and areas for improvement, creating a personalised learning plan tailored to his needs. Her ability to make complex concepts understandable has been crucial in helping Josh grasp difficult topics and improve his grades. Rachel's patience and encouragement have been particularly valuable. She always provides constructive feedback and celebrates Josh's progress, no matter how small. This positive reinforcement has boosted his self-esteem and made him more confident in his abilities. As a parent, I also appreciate Rachel's excellent communication skills. She regularly updates me on Josh's progress and is always op
