Biology and Chemistry teacher with 9 years experience in teaching and education leadership

I have a Master of Science degree in Microbiology and am currently a PhD candidate in Biosciences at the University of Nottingham here in England. In the teaching profession, I have a Bachelor of Education Science degree (Biology/Chemistry Combination). In addition, I have done numerous short in-service courses in teacher development including Certificate in Education Management as well as Strengthening of Mathematics and Science in Secondary Education (SMASSE).

I have a cumulative 9 years of teaching experience post my undergraduate degree qualification at Secondary School level, College level as well as at university level. In addition, I have held substantial roles in leadership and management positions in the various academic institutions where I have worked. Most recently before moving to the UK, I was the Head of Biology Subject at St. Mary's Lwak Girls High School in Kenya. One of the top extra County schools in the country with a student population of over 2500.

I have had significant success stories in my teaching career as exemplified by a very strong performance in my subject by my last examination class at St. Mary’s in the 2022 released National Exams just before I moved to the UK.
