Advert description
I am a dedicated and supportive tutor with a strong academic background in education and child development. I hold a BA (Hons) in Education (Psychology) and an MSc in Developmental Psychology, which have given me a strong understanding of how children learn, develop and respond to different teaching approaches.
Alongside my academic studies, I have several years of practical experience working directly with children and young people in both education and care settings. I currently work as a SEN Teaching Assistant, where I support pupils through one-to-one and small group learning. In this role I help deliver lessons, adapt learning materials and provide targeted support to help pupils build confidence and engage with their learning.
I offer tutoring in Psychology up to A-Level. My academic background allows me to support psychology students with understanding key theories, research methods and exam techniques, while my work in primary education helps me support younger learners in developing strong foundations in reading, writing and maths.
I have particular experience supporting pupils with additional needs and understand that every student learns differently. Because of this, I focus on creating a calm, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenges. I aim to adapt my teaching style to suit each learner, helping them build both their academic skills and their confidence.
My goal is to make learning clear, engaging and supportive, helping students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
