English tutor providing GCSE and A-level lessons

My lessons, be they in person or online, are split between covering specific content from the texts being studied, looking at a range of themes and characters, and looking at essay writing itself. I will provide feedback on essays each session, allowing my students to develop a clear, confident writing style so that their arguments themselves can flourish. Through our explorations of the texts, I can ensure that any student has a comprehensive knowledge of their texts, both in terms of literal content and literary form and techniques. This will ensure that they can craft compelling and well-grounded arguments while still meeting the criteria of the mark scheme and are prepared for a wide variety of potential exam questions. I hope to pass on my passion for the subject and am interested in the interests of my students and what sticks with them in each text, allowing them to find something of personal interest within each question and start to carve out a research niche.
