Advert description
Easily, my main passion in life is music and all things new and creative. No question is ever too silly and no teacher should gate-keep knowledge or ideas. My philosophy is all based on emotions and feelings. To teach a love for music, and to do my job properly is to eventually make my role redundant. Every creative mind already has a dormant musician inside. We can all dance and sing and speak and communicate. Music is no different. I will simply exchange ideas and offer practical solutions that will elucidate your visions and goals. The key ingredients to instil are: confidence – a love of the sounds one makes, intrigue – the desire to want to get better and comprehend the masters, community – that music is more often than not a collaboration and the next best bit of advice may as well come from a peer, and finally, adventure – to play music, to improvise, to put one's self out there is to dare! There's so much to talk about even before we touch upon anything remotely musical.
In the first lesson it's a good idea to talk about our inspirations and our favourite artists. This way, we can build a bridge together to that end goal. And once we've cleared it, we can set a new goal, making sure we are having fun along the way. We will go at a steady pace and maximising the utility of the time we have together, as I know it can be frustrating when questions arise after sessions. I will set achievable tasks that will make sure we have a thread going through our lessons. So much of the 'Eureka' or lightbulb moments in music happen when we are on our own. My job is to fuel you with these moments so we have limitless topics to talk about. This will instil that hunger that will get you performing in no time!
Please do not hesitate to get in touch so we can taylor our lessons beforehand if you wish, or to talk specifics about the schedule.
I hope to be jamming with you soon!
